Red Roses and Best Friends

Dress: Bernie Dexter
Shoes: Op Shop
Sunnies: Paper Scissors

A few weeks ago, I met up with two of my favourite people in Sydney City for a get together and of ofcourse a shoot! Harlow made it all the way from Brisbane to join us, so this was a pretty special occasion.

As a Photographer, I am much more comfortable behind the camera rather than in front, so after taking some shots of these lovely girls, Kayla offered to take mine for me. This set of photos actually turned out to be one of my favourites because we all look so genuinely happy! I am also in LOVEEE with the cut of my Bernie Dexter dress and it passed my spin photo test! I am so grateful to have these lovely gals in my life and the opportunity to have a blog and share it with all of you! Feeling the love!

Apples in the Garden

Dress - Hell Bunny: Sheila Dress in Black
Shoes - Op Shop
Hair scarf - eBay

A few weeks ago, my best friends and I took a trip to the city, as Harlow Darling was visiting from interstate. We decided to visit the Chinese Friendship Gardens in Darling Harbour which was such a fabulous place! We each took turns taking each others photographs ( Gracefully Vintage took these), and had a fun time, despite having to wait for the tourists to not be in our shots! We later had a coffee at the Guylian Chocolate Cafe which was superb!

I have been struggling with my hair lately, due to me letting it grow out, so I've been trying all different methods under the sun to make the curls stay in! But on this day, I  finally found a way that worked! I was so excited, I finally felt like a proper pin up!

As my readers may not know, I have only officially been delving in the Vintage/Pin up Style for over a year now, so I'm still learning new things everyday! But thanks to my fabulous friends, they have helped me grow my image in such a short amount of time. Thanks so much Gracefully Vintage and Harlow Darling!

Fun Fact about me: During shoots, I will often dance to ease my nerves! (pictured above) Do any of you have trouble taking pics in public? I look forward to your comments!

Melbourne Getaway

Voodoo Vixen - Connie Dress
Specsavers -  Cat Eye Glasses
Forever New - Beige Coat

I have just returned home from a wonderful getaway in Melbourne with my family! It was a lot colder than it has been in Sydney recently so it was lovely to be able to wear my favourite coat. We only went for 1 full day (driving for 13 hours on the other 2 days each) which certainly wasn't enough, but we still fitted a lot in nonetheless.

In the Morning, we went to Queen Victoria Markets, which was filled with fabulous food stalls and amazing bargains. I decided to take some photos here in my Voodoo Vixen Connie dress as it is one of my favourite dresses and I loved the atmosphere of the market ( I was freezing though!). After the market, we then moved onto Harbour Town Shopping Centre which was a lovely tram ride across the rainy city.

At night time, I persuaded my mother to go to a theatre restaurant with me (In the Beige Coat). We went to Witches and Britches Theatre Restaurant which was absolutely hilarious! I recommend it to anyone that visits Melbourne! Then as we left in the morning the next day, I realised that we drove past the 2 shops that I love watching on TV(Foxtel Program called "Meet the Frockers")! So why not take a  few photos.

Overall I had the best time babysitting my awesome little brother William, while my parents were at an important conference, and I got to do some pretty fun stuff. Kudos to my 5 year old brother who took the majority of my photos, You're the best!

Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival

Bernie Dexter - Sundae Dress
Vintage gloves, Bettes shoes

Two weeks ago Kayla (GracefullyVintage) and I, went to the Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival, dragging our partners along. We had a fantastic day and entered into the "Miss Modern Day" category for the Best dressed competition. I was very nervous but extremely excited to give it a go, and was absolutely  thrilled to hear that my best friend won the title! Overall, we had a brilliant day and we even had the chance to bump into Lianna Rose the amazing country singer, which we had previously met on the set of her latest music video! I really enjoy going to these festivals, and I can really appreciate how far my image has come since my very first festival, exactly a year before.

Because I didn't place,  I gained the motivation to structure my image more and therefore come up with a new name and more of a Pin up image. I hope you all enjoy my transformation!
